Dear 240,000 residents of Osan!I am Gil-yong Seong, chairman of the 9th Osan City Council.

On July 1, 2022, the 9th Osan City Council was opened.

32 years have passed since the launch of the first Osan City Council in 1991.

Osan has experienced growth over the past 32 years but I think we have to prepare for a second journey, developing core industries of the future and establishing an identity of the city. The 9th Osan City Council will continuously study and examine carefully to make sure various projects carried out by Osan City truly contributes to the development and growth of the city.

The council will carry out work more passionately and with the highest level of integrity so that it doesn’t fall short of residents’ expectations. We will hear out different voices of the residents and never turn our heads against those in need. Until the final day of our term, we will never forget where we started and only work for the good and happiness of Osan residents.
We will also communicate with other in harmony and run an exemplary council.

The council and the executive body of the city administration are partners working towards the same goal but we will maintain checks and balances on the executive body while offering productive suggestions and encouragement.

In order to everyone’s expectations, the 9th Osan City Council will open its ears to the voices of the residents and come to agreement through productive discussions and debates refraining from dogmatism and self-righteousness so that we can together develop the city of Osan.

We would like to ask for your continued support and interest because they drive us to be strong and improve the city as well as the council.
